The City of SeaTac was incorporated in 1989 and named after the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which it surrounds. City limits embrace 10.5 square miles, including the airport, and more than 25,000 residents, and the community swells with more than 80,000 workers and travelers on an average. The City boundaries surround the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport which is owned and operated by the Port of Seattle. Angle Lake is an L-shaped lake in SeaTac, occupying 90 acres between Interstate 5 and State Route 99. On the western shore is a 10-acre park, Angle Lake Park, The remainder of the shoreline is ringed with private homes.The new YMCA opened in 2009 with swimming pools and workout facility. This city is home to the new light rail and has an abundance of fine hotels and restaurants.
